Harley twin carburetor systems have been around for decades and use around the world.
They are especially popular with the 60,s, 70,s Retro bike builders.
Manifold is made of aluminum, smooth finish. Mounting boots are 40 mm ID. Mikuni VM30-34 carburetors can be installed. Also FCR35, PWK34 carburetors as well. This manifold replaces a S&S super E carburetor to two Mikuni VM30 or similar carburetors. So it can be installed on models that came with S&S set up.
Manifold is tested previously and works very well.
Idling is much more constant and open throttle is much more responsive than single carburetor indeed. Engine runs very stable.
Mikuni round slide and other flat slide carburetors have infinite adjustability. It is possible to zero in on the amount of fuel delivery in all the circuits.
They also allow to regulate the amount of incoming air to be mixed with the fuel. With this type of adjustability, fuel mileage and performance are things that some carburetor kits lack. Some carburetor kits simply have an intermediate jet, main jet and an idle mixture screw which limits adjustability when transitioning from low to higher speeds. Also, no more sucking air around worn throttle shafts.
Note manifold can be in various colors such as bear aluminum or any color up on your request.
